Years ago, I met a man who wanted to create a portable ventilator to give the villages in rural Kenya access to life-saving medical care.

Shortly after, I befriended a woman who wanted to preserve the knowledge of dying elders for future generations to benefit.

I even learned depths of love and understanding from a person who uses photography to highlight the beauties of people with disabilities.

All worthy pursuits…but one year, two years, three years later—

Where are their businesses?

Some are slightly further along.

Some have fallen backwards.

And some have stayed stagnant.

All the brilliant ideas and dreams these visionaries had hoped to use to change the world aren’t changing anything…

Because ideas without pointed action can feel…pointless.
